As the next evolution in cabinet-style nodes, Aurora Networks has developed the DC2182 Compact Distributed Access Architecture (DAA) Node. The Aurora Networks DC2182 Node is a cabinet-style, aggressively compact node, deployable in a street cabinet or Multi-Dwelling Unit (MDU) environment. Like the DC2180 Compact DAA Node, the DC2182 is targeted for European markets, and available for Australia/New Zealand and North American markets. This flexible compact node has been designed specifically for deploying DOCSIS 4.0 Unified Remote PHY Device (RPD) Distributed Access Architecture (DAA) networks. The DC2182 natively supports 1.8 GHz operation for deployment with DOCSIS 4.0 capable RPD modules. Initially, the DC2182 Node will house the RD1710-U2 DOCSIS 4.0 Unified 1.8 GHz Remote PHY Device (RPD). The DC2182 Node provides operators the flexibility to support their network evolution needs with field upgradable diplex filters to allow customers to support 85/102 MHz mid-split, 204/258 MHz high-split, or 396/468 MHz ultra-high-split. The DC2182 Node with the installed RD1710-U2 RPD is designed to support the following operational modes:
- Mid-split Legacy 1.2 GHz or 1.8 GHz Frequency Division Duplex (FDD)
- High-split Legacy 1.2 GHz or 1.8 GHz FDD
- UHS-396 (1.8 GHz FDD)
- Mid-split and High-split FLEX, up to 492 MHz upstream
